Hugh McPheeters Rigney, born July 31, 1873 in Arthur

Hugh McPheeters Rigney was born on July 31, 1873, in Arthur, IL, where he grew up and later became known for his contributions to the community. Rigney served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois's 19th district, representing the interests of his constituents with dedication and diligence. Throughout his tenure, he advocated for policies aimed at improving the lives of the people he served, focusing on issues such as agriculture, infrastructure, and education. Rigney's leadership and commitment to public service earned him respect and admiration both locally and beyond, solidifying his place in the history of Arthur, IL, as a trusted representative and champion for the welfare of its residents.
