State Representative Chris Miller has voiced his opposition to transgender athletes participating in women's sports, asserting that it deprives biological females of opportunities. His comments come after a recent incident where a transgender athlete won events at a junior high track meet in Naperville.
Miller expressed his concerns, stating, “It’s a total disgrace to young women who train hard for competitions, only to be destroyed by a biological male.” He criticized the Democratic stance on the issue, claiming it undermines female athletes.
The controversy arose when a transgender student from Jefferson Middle School won several events in the girls' division. This led to a packed school board meeting at District 203 where parents demanded changes.
Miller further commented on the situation: “It’s absolutely ridiculous that we even debate the difference between a boy and a girl. Everyone should agree that women athletes need their privacy, but not the woke left.”
