City of Arcola City Council met Dec. 16.
Here is the agenda provided by the council:
Clerk Turner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and ask for a motion to appoint a Mayor Pro Tem. Alderman Foran made a motion to appoint Alderman Henson Mayor Pro Tem and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, Hensley, aye; Henson, abstain; Becerra, aye; Foran, aye. Motion carried.
ROLL CALL Members present were Alderpersons Hensley, Henson, Becerra and Foran. City Administrator Wagoner and Attorney Petty were also present. Alderpersons Helmuth and Budd were not present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Hensley led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT Adam Kremer of Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC gave an update on the Libman Street improvements; DECO Grant for sanitary sewer improvements; RIPI and Downtown Grant.
APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 02, 2024 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Hensley moved to approve the December 02, 2024 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded Alderman Foran. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 30, 2024 THROUGH DECEMBER 13, 2024 BILLS Alderman Foran moved to approve the November 30, 2024 – December 13, 2024 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE AMENDED EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK Alderman Becerra moved to approve amended employee handbook. Amendments being adding Attorney Petty as city attorney and the addition of 2 categories to PTO schedule for longevity. Alderman Foran seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE PAY REQUEST NO. 1 REDEVELOP MAIN STREET PROJECT – FULLER WENTE -- $254,649.15 Alderman Foran moved to approve pay request No. 1 Redevelop Main Street Project payable to Fuller Wente in amount of $254,649.15. Alderman Hensley seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

There were no committee reports.
As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Hensley moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
