City of Arcola City Council met Nov. 18.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members present were Alderpersons Foran, Hensley, Helmuth, Henson and Becerra. Alderman Budd was not present. City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Chief Suding were also present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Foran led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT Adam Kremer of Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC gave an update on the Libman Street improvements; DCEO Grant for sanitary sewer improvements; RIPI and the Downtown Grant.
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 04, 2024 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderwoman Helmuth moved to approve the November 04, 2024 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Foran. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 02, 2024 THROUGH NOVEMBER 15, 2024 BILLS Alderman Hensley moved to approve the November 02, 2024 – November 15, 2024 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Henson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
PRESENTATION BY JIM ARNDT, ARNDT MUNICIPAL SUPPORT – BENEFITS REVIEW, CLASSIFICATION, COMPENSATION STUDY Jim Arndt of Arndt Municipal Support – Benefits gave the council a presentation on his Benefits Review, Classification and Compensation Study he did for the City of Arcola.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH CHASTAIN AND ASSOCIATES FOR JOINT WATER AGENCY PIPELINE CONFLICT REVIEW Alderman Foran moved to approve agreement with Chastain and Associates for joint water agency pipeline conflict review. Alderwoman Helmuth seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE IDOT UTILITY ADJUSTMENT REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT – ARCOLA-TUSCOLA JOINT WATER AGENCY – RT. 45 PROJECT Alderman Foran moved to approve IDOT utility adjustment reimbursement agreement – Arcola Tuscola joint Water Agency – Rt. 45 project. Alderman Becerra seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

There were no committee reports.
As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Hensley moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
