City of Arcola City Council met June 17.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Helmuth, Henson, Becerra, Budd and Foran. Alderman Hensley, City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Attorney Bequette were not present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderwoman Helmuth led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT Mitch Hardiek of Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC gave an update on the Libman Street improvements; DCEO Grant for sanitary sewer improvements; RIPI and Downtown Grant.
APPROVAL OF JUNE 03, 2024 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Foran moved to approve the June 03, 2024 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderwoman Helmuth. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF JUNE 01, 2024 THROUGH JUNE 14, 2024 BILLS Alderwoman Helmuth moved to approve the June 01, 2024 – June 14, 2024 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Henson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE BID FOR LIBMAN TRUCK ROUTE EXTENSION (IDOT JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT SECTION NO. 22-00011-00-SP) Alderman Foran moved to approve bid for Libman Truck Route Extension (IDOT Joint Funding Agreement Section No. 22-00011-00-SP) from Feutz Contractors, Inc. in amount of $1,379,110.40. This bid is contingent upon acceptance by DCEO. Alderman Budd seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Becerra moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Budd. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
