City of Casey issued the following announcement on July 18.
Casey In Action’s annual KZ5K is taking on a new twist this year. To foster public health and safety, our 2020 race will be in virtual format. Run a Minion Miles To Kindness participants will be able to devise their own course (anywhere) and complete on their own time (anytime) between the dates of Aug. 5 and Sept. 15!
Racers are asked to document their accomplishment by posting selfies on the race Facebook page, CIA KZ5K. Participants are also encouraged to perform and document an act of kindness as well. Let’s safely get some exercise, do some good and have fun!
Registration is $25 per individual and forms received by Aug. 15 (whether by hard copy registration or submitted online at getmeregistered.com/kz5k) will guarantee a race t-shirt and medallion, both featuring the minion and race theme.
Visit getmeregistered.com/kz5k to register online anytime from now to Sept. 15. Hard copy registration forms with payment must be sent to Casey In Action, PO Box 163, Casey, IL 62420. Attached please find a printable 2020 race registration form for your convenience along with the 2020 5K virtual race t-shirt design.
