Q4 2018 parolees recap: who was paroled in Watson?

There were two offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Watson zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Watson were men. The younger parolee is a 24-year-old man sentenced for crimes against a person in 2017, and the other is a 33-year-old man sentenced for crimes against one or more children in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Deven A. Barger. He was convicted of crimes against a person in 2017 when he was 22 years old. He is now 24.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the fourth quarter.
