Diepholz Auto Group has contributed $500 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center as part of a recent fundraising effort. The donation was raised through the “Coffee For Cancer” pay it forward event, which took place during Breast Cancer Awareness month.

On October 15, Diepholz Auto pledged to donate $1 for every coffee drink purchased at Ginger Ale’s locations in Mattoon and Charleston. The initiative aimed to support individuals battling cancer and increase awareness about the importance of regular screenings.

“We wanted to come together to support, uplift and make a difference to those fighting cancer,” said Christene Addis, Marketing Manager at Diepholz Auto.

In addition to the monetary donation, Diepholz Auto also provided pastries one morning in October for staff members at the Regional Cancer Center, SBL Women’s and Children’s Center, and Diagnostic Imaging departments—all of which offer care for breast cancer patients.

“This donation is so appreciated, and the fact that Diepholz Auto is partnering with us to bring awareness about the importance of mammograms as well as helping those already diagnosed is a wonderful gift,” said Natasha Deters, Regional Cancer Center Director. “We are beyond grateful.”

Individuals interested in supporting the Regional Cancer Center can contact the SBL Health Foundation at 217/258-2511.
