Horizon Health is launching a new Healthy Living Series with an event aimed at helping community members manage diabetes and prediabetes. The free educational session, titled “Thriving With Diabetes,” will be held on Thursday, November 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lake Ridge Christian Church in Paris.
The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about diabetes management, regardless of whether they are newly diagnosed or have been living with the condition for years. Attendees will have access to information tables highlighting resources and support services offered by Horizon Health for those managing diabetes.
Representatives from several departments—including Endocrinology, Diabetes Education, Nutritional Counseling, Chronic Care Management, and Pharmacy—will be present to answer questions and provide guidance.
“Thriving With Diabetes” will feature discussions on blood sugar management, nutrition advice, lifestyle changes, and medication strategies. Additional activities include chair yoga sessions at 5 p.m. and again at 6:15 p.m., blood pressure checks, free foot exams, educational materials, giveaways, and snacks.
