First Mid Bank & Trust has contributed $25,000 to support the construction of the Sarah Bush Lincoln Specialty Pavilion in Effingham. The new facility, located at 905 North Maple Street, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by next fall.

“We’re thrilled to be the recipient of this generous donation from First Mid,” said Kim Uphoff, President and CEO of Sarah Bush Lincoln. “We value our partnership with First Mid and appreciate the investment they make to strengthen this region.”

The Specialty Pavilion will cover nearly 40,000 square feet and offer services such as cardiology, a cardiac rehabilitation gym, pulmonary function testing, ENT and hearing aid services, a drive-thru retail pharmacy, laboratory services, and space for physician specialists.

Joe Dively, Chairman of First Mid, stated: “As Sarah Bush Lincoln continues to expand services throughout East Central and Southern Illinois, we believe it’s important to support that growth. Both of our organizations prioritize those we serve, and this facility will bring even more quality healthcare services to the Effingham region.”

Amy Card, director of the SBL Foundation, noted that First Mid has supported several hospital campaigns previously. “The bank has very generously made substantial donations to our Hospice House, Heart Center and more. We’re so very grateful for this most recent gift and their ongoing support of Sarah Bush Lincoln,” she said.
