#GoKnights, an account associated with the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond High School, recently shared several updates relevant to the school community. The updates addressed a range of topics including school announcements, Board of Education meetings, and classroom activities.

On April 22, 2025, a post was shared referring to "Announcements: Tuesday, April 22, 2025." The details of these announcements were not specified in the post; however, two links accompanied the tweet.

Later in the day, another message was posted providing details about an upcoming special Board of Education meeting. "Good afternoon. Please click below to access the agenda for the special BOE meeting to be held this Thursday at the high school. The meeting will start at 7pm versus the regular start time of 6pm. Thank you and have a great rest of the day." This tweet included a hyperlink to the meeting's agenda, which is scheduled to occur at the high school.

Subsequently, a classroom update was posted about a practical student engagement activity led by Miss K., an FCS Practicum student from Eastern Illinois University (EIU). The tweet stated, "Miss K., the FCS Practicum student from EIU had students in Intro to FACS II make 'Pattern People' as part of their Fashion Lessons. They chose the outfit type and created fabric/paper clothing to fit their person based on their persons 'Fashion Sense.'"

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond High School, based in Arthur and Douglas County, catered to 328 students in the 2019-2020 school year, predominantly serving grades 9 to 12. Of these, the highest concentration was in grade 9 with 39 percent of the student body, according to the Illinois Report Card. With a student population that was 94.5 percent white, the school provides educational services to a racially homogeneous community.
