Conservative House Republicans recently convened a press conference in Illinois to discuss the issue of girls' privacy. The event underscored their stance on gender identity and privacy rights within schools.

The Republicans emphasized their alignment with former President Trump's assertion that "only two genders exist: Male and Female." They criticized what they described as a "woke agenda" promoted by Democrats, which they argue compromises the privacy of girls in educational settings. According to the statement, "there is no reason a biological male should be undressing in a girls’ locker room, or use a girls’ restroom, period."

A significant moment during the press conference was when Nicole Georgas from Deerfield, Illinois, shared her family's experience. She recounted how her teenage daughter was allegedly required by school administrators to undress in front of a transgender boy. Georgas and her daughter were present at the event to voice their concerns.

The Republicans reiterated their commitment to defending individual freedoms and women's rights. They criticized Illinois Democrats for what they perceive as hypocrisy regarding women's rights, specifically mentioning Democrat Bob Morgan's stance on transgender issues.
