From its beginnings in 1927 to its current role in national defense and humanitarian efforts, the Illinois Air National Guard has been a steadfast guardian of freedom.

Today, we honor the dedication of our airborne forces on National Airborne Day. "Thank you to these brave men and women who uphold an unwavering commitment to the service of our nation!"
