Village of Noble Village Board met March 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Karen Totten, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Absent Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve February 26, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Ahsley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Treasurer and Cash in Bank reports as of the end of February were presented. Trustee Pflaum asked about an outstanding check back in December and was told the company is saying they have not received; check may need to be reissued. Motion made by Ashley Pflaum to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

The primary Election will be held on Tuesday, March 19.

The Board members were asked to turn in any new projects for the new fiscal year budget to the Treasurer and/or Mayor Kessler (notepad will be on the counter).

The Village is asking for all ground decorations be removed from the Noble Cemetery by March 29.

The Village Hall will be closed at noon on Good Friday March 29.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Noble Park on March 30 at 2p.m.

Spring Cleanup is scheduled in the village for April 24.

Mayor Kessler asked the Street Committee to meet with Mike Bridges and look over the streets for any future work. This matter will be placed on the next agenda.

Mayor Kessler mentioned an open house for FEMA to discuss and review flood map information. This will be held at the Olney Public Library on March 20, beginning at 4:00p.m. and everyone is welcome to attend. Mayor Kessler plans on attending.

Mayor Kessler was contacted by Jake Anderson with the Noble Fire Dept. and inquired if the Village wants to sell the substation to them for a future site of a new fire dept. building. This matter will be placed on the next agenda.

Letters had been mailed out for nuisance properties and the village hall was contacted by the owner of 121 W. South informing them that new current stickers for the remaining 2 vehicles.

Trustee O’Dell inquired about an update on the siren and was told by Mayor Kessler he has a call into Rural Development checking on the status. Mayor Kessler did mention that the village may pay all the cost of $40,000.00 and be reimbursed.

Information and cost were provided to the Board for a double wash station from TSF in Evansville at a cost of $520.00. This would be used in Noble Park for future events. Motion made by Ashley Pipher to purchase a double wash station from TSF Company in Evansville at a cost of $520.00. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Mayor Kessler mentioned a pay request for the park restroom is included in the regular bills. Motion made by Gary Ulm to pay bills. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.
