Rep. Halbrook, a Republican representative from Shelbyville, is inviting local families to join him for a Veto Session Update/Town Hall discussion in Effingham. The event, which will take place on November 20th, 2023, from 7:00-8:30 PM at Effingham City Hall, aims to provide an update on various pressing issues, including the Democrats' gun ban, the sanctuary state crisis, nuclear energy, and Invest in Kids scholarships.

During the meeting, residents of Effingham County will have the opportunity to express their concerns and share their suggestions with Representative Halbrook. The event serves as a platform for constituents to discuss a wide range of matters, from unemployment benefits to FOID card renewals and other state agency issues.

"It's also a perfect opportunity for constituents to tell me what I can help with...from unemployment benefits to FOID card renewals, and other state agency issues. I look forward to talking with everyone on Monday."
