State Representative Brad Halbrook recently attended a Montgomery County Board meeting where numerous residents voiced their concerns over a significant rise in property taxes on wooded land. The new law has resulted in some tracts experiencing an increase of more than 1,000%.

House Republicans from the area have been actively addressing the issue, aiming to assist residents in obtaining relief.
