Notice is hereby given that the office of the City Clerk of the City of Flora will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, through Friday, December 16, 2022, and open until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, for the purpose of accepting candidate petitions for the 2023 Consolidated Election to be held on April 4, 2023, for the following offices:
- Mayor
- Commissioner of Accounts and Finances
- Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
- Commissioner of Public Property
- Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements
A lottery will be held for all simultaneous filings that are filed at 8:00 a.m. on the first filing day (Monday, December 12, 2022) or received in the first mail of December 12, 2022. Petitions filed within the last hour of the filing deadline (4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022) shall be deemed filed simultaneously and are included in the lottery drawing to determine the final ballot position. Should a simultaneous lottery be necessary, it will be scheduled for Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 9:15 a.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
