The holiday season is fast approaching, and Charleston is doing its part to help people get into the festive spirit by hosting its Christmas in the Heart of Charleston 2022 event Dec. 3.
The main events are scheduled for 4:45 p.m., when the parade is scheduled to start, until 7 p.m. at Charleston Square, near the courthouse, according to the city website.
Admission is free, and the offerings include carriage rides, musical performances, a performance by DanceLife and more. Food and drink will be available, with roasted chestnuts on the menu.
The event includes a Yuletide Online Auction. It opened Wednesday, with online bids being accepted through Monday. This auction is one of the ways the city raises funds to support the event. Check out this site if you’re interested in bidding.
If you’d like to be part of the parade, you can register online by Nov. 21.
Charleston residents and those from elsewhere are invited to attend the free, family-friendly event.
