Charleston median home prices rose by 7.2% in the fourth quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Charleston rose by $7,000 while total sales increased by 23.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 88 homes sold, with a median sale price of $104,500 - a 7.2% increase over the $97,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 71 homes sold in Charleston in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,130, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
