In February, the median sale price of a home in Coles County rose by $14,900 from the same period in the previous year, while total sales decreased by 23.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

There were 43 homes sold in February, with a median sale price of $114,900 — a 14.9% increase over the $100,000 median sale price during the same period of the previous year. In comparison, 56 homes were sold in Coles County in February 2024.

Based on the latest available data from 2021, the median sales tax in Coles County was $1,804, which stands at 1.6% of February's median home sale price.
