Report: Jasper County School District spent $10,006 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Jasper County Community Unit School District 1 was up 9.6 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jasper County school district spent $9,126 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,006 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,387 to 1,225 students over the same period.

Jasper County's spending in 2019-20 was 31 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
