Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Lawrence County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Lawrence County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Lawrence County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tyler N. Mardyla. He was convicted of a property crime in 2018 when he was 25 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Lawrence County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
