City of Marshall issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
City of Marshall will be Oil and Chipping City Streets Thursday and Friday September 5th and 6th. This application is done by spraying oil on the street and covering the oil with chipped gravel. During these projects the streets will be closed for approximately 30-60 minutes. Workers will coordinate with residents so vehicles are permitted to pass. Please avoid these areas if possible.
If anyone at your residence parks a vehicle on the street, please move the vehicle(s) off the street beginning September 5th until the work is complete.
The following streets are scheduled for Thursday and/or Friday.
Lynn St. from 6th to 7th
3rd St from Spruce to Beech
4th St. from Spruce to Plum
Pine St. from 2nd to 14th
Elm St. from 2nd to IL-1
Cherry St. from Michigan to 14th
S 8th from Vine to Elm
S 9th from Chestnut to Vine
S 11th from Maple to Vine
Sycamore from IL-1 to 11th
Acorn Alley
Westwood subdivision
Ridge Lane
Valley Rd
Highland Drive
Fox Run Lane
