Tuscola City Council meets, approves contract with Jamaica Pyrotechnics

The Tuscola City Council met April 11 to approve the contract with Jamaica Pyrotechnics Inc. in the amount of $25,000 for the annual fireworks display on July 9.

The approval of the contract was passed with no objection.

The council also approved an ordinance declaring a squad car surplus property and authorized the sale of the 2011 Chevrolet Impala; approved the submitted names of temporary summer employees for the pool, street and park; and discussed a few changes to the pool season pass rates.
