Incumbent Phillips fights off Republican primary competitor in House District 110

In the March 15 Illinois House Republican primary for District 110 incumbent, Rep. Reggie Phillips held on to his seat by beating opponent Jonathan Kaye. A total of 18,337 votes were cast in  District 110. Phillips claimed a total of 10,920 votes, while Kaye received 7,417 votes.

Phillips beat Kaye in all six counties.

“I am humbled and thrilled to have had a clean sweep in all six counties in the 110th district tonight!” Phillips wrote on his Facebook page. “I couldn't have done it without the support from so many people but most of all my wonderful wife of 40 years. To the people of the 110th... thank you for sending me back to Springfield!”

District 110 includes Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Edgar and Lawrence Counties.
