Horizon Health is set to provide discounted health screenings at its Paris Clinic on Friday, October 24, from 7 to 9 am.
Leighsa Cornwell, RN, CDCES, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, will conduct blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid panel screenings, which include HDL, LDL, and triglycerides. The total cost for these three screenings is $25. Patients can add an A1c test, which measures average blood sugar over the past two to three months, for an additional $10. Payment options include cash, debit or credit card, and checks. Insurance will not be billed for these services.
Patients planning to undergo blood sugar tests are advised to fast for eight hours before the screening. The test is performed using a fingerstick, and results will be provided before patients leave the clinic.
