HSHS St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center will mark its 15th anniversary with a community open house on August 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at the center, located within HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Attendees are invited to tour the updated facility, observe demonstrations of hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers, and learn about advanced wound healing treatments.

The open house coincides with the center receiving the Healogics Center of Distinction award for 15 consecutive years, an achievement shared by only one other center nationwide over this time span.

"For fifteen years, our dedicated team has been committed to providing specialized wound care that changes lives," said Dr. Jeff Brummer, Medical Director of HSHS St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center. "We're thrilled to open our doors to the community and showcase how our advanced treatments help patients return to healthier, more active lives."

During the event, visitors can meet physicians and staff members who provide care at the center, view a demonstration of one of two hyperbaric oxygen chambers used for treatment, and receive information about innovative therapies available at the facility.

St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center is part of the Healogics network that includes more than 600 wound care centers across the country and provides specialized treatment for chronic wounds such as diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and surgical wounds.
