The Sarah Bush Lincoln Races for all Paces event is scheduled for June 7 at Eastern Illinois University. This event raises funds for the SBL Dental Program, which provides dental care for children in the area. Services include preventive care at schools and restorative care at the dental clinic in Mattoon. Volunteer dentists also contribute by providing additional care for children in their own clinics.

"Races for all Paces is a great event for community members to have fun and exercise, and it garners a lot of support for the SBL Dental Program," said Tracy Haddock, SBL Healthy Communities director. "Many children in the community need quality dental care, and this annual event helps us continue to provide essential dental care."

The event includes various races such as a 5K, a 10K, a one-mile run/walk, a toddler trot, and a diaper dash. All races start and finish at O’Brien Field. The 10K run/walk begins at 7:50 am, followed by the 5K at 8:15 am. Registration for both races costs $30, and $5 for participants 17 and under. Chip-timing and first aid stations are available for these races.

The one-mile fun run/walk starts at 9:30 am with a registration fee of $15, and $5 for children 17 and under. The Toddler Trot, beginning at 10:15 am, and Diaper Dash are free of charge. Participants receive a prize upon finishing.

Online registration is available at www.sarahbush.org/races. T-shirts will be given to those who register by May 18, except for participants in the Toddler Trot and Diaper Dash. Finishers of the 10K, 5K, and one-mile run/walk will receive medals.

For those unable to attend but interested in supporting, donations can be made through the event's website.
