Republican representative Miller has voiced strong opposition to House Bill 2827, which she claims targets homeschool families in Illinois. In her statement, Miller accused "radical Democrats" of seeking control over children's education and criticized the bill as an "assault against homeschool families and their personal choices." She emphasized that "parents know what is best for their kids" and opposed any interference from government officials, specifically referring to them as "Chicago puppets."

Miller highlighted the ongoing debate about educational freedom, asserting that "Republicans stand for freedom of choice," while accusing Democrats of promoting indoctrination by integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into all aspects of education. According to her, this approach is detrimental to the state's educational system.

In light of these concerns, a Homeschool Lobby Day is being organized at the Capitol. Miller urged citizens to participate in sending a clear message to Springfield lawmakers. She stated: "Stop the Illinois Democrats ATTACK on homeschool families." Her call to action includes signing a petition advocating for parental rights in making educational decisions for their children.

The session aims to gather support against what Miller describes as intrusive mandates and punitive measures imposed by big government. She concluded with a plea: "Parents deserve the right to make their own decisions regarding their children’s education."
