City of Martinsville City Council met Nov. 27.

Attendance: Terri Connelly-City Treasurer, Caitlin Dill-City Clerk, Dan Kibler-Marshall Advocate.

Meeting called to order by Mayor Lovell at 7 PM.

Public Comments:

Dan Kibler wanted to thank the council for everything they do on behalf of him and the paper.

--Motion by S Pendleton, 2nd by C Perry, to approve the previous meeting minutes for 11/13/2024.

OTHER:

Lovell:

● Clark County doesn’t have a safe and adequate place to take homeless people, the nearest being Charleston, Terre Haute, or Robinson. He will be visiting Matthew 25 in Charleston to learn more about how they operate. Right now there are approximately 10 homeless people in town needing assistance.

Hammond:

● Toledo Street will need repair fixing many potholes throughout the street.

Pendleton:

● The holes in the newly poured concrete for the Pickleball court will need protection from precipitation.

--Motion by A Wilhoit, 2nd by C Perry, to close the meeting.
