During a recent Shelby County Legislative Committee Meeting, Beleena Boehm made contentious remarks during the public comment period. Boehm is related to Teresa Boehm, who faces felony charges, and Chris Boehm, who has been criminally charged.

In her comments at approximately 1:41:43 into the meeting video, Beleena Boehm described the treasurer as "nasty and vile." Later in the session, around 2:34:15 on the video timeline, she referred to the Shelby County Treasurer as a "lying bitch" following dissatisfaction with an explanation provided by the treasurer.
