Thank you to everyone who attended the ceremony on Tuesday to honor the life and service of local hero, Wayne County Deputy Sheriff Sean Ian Riley.
Rep. Niemerg spoke at the event, saying, "Deputy Riley exemplified bravery and dedication in his service to our community. His sacrifice will never be forgotten."
The ceremony included a moment of silence, followed by tributes from family members and colleagues. Deputy Riley was remembered for his commitment to duty and his positive impact on those around him.
"Sean was not just a colleague but a friend," said one of his fellow officers. "He always put others before himself."
The community gathered to pay their respects and support Deputy Riley's family during this difficult time.
