Crawford County’s seven coaches earned an average salary of $34,154 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 17th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Illinois post-secondary schools during 2022.

Crawford County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $33,950 on average in Crawford County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $34,426.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
