Yesterday at the Capitol, a significant gathering took place in support of Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day (IGOLD). The event drew a large crowd of individuals advocating for their Second Amendment rights. "Owning a firearm is a right guaranteed by our Constitution," emphasized one of the attendees.

The attendees expressed concerns about the ongoing challenges to their Second Amendment rights, with one individual stating, "The constant attacks on our Second Amendment rights are a blatant assault on the principles underlying our Constitution." Another participant echoed these sentiments, warning that, "If the government can take away one right, then they can take away all of our rights."

Criticism was directed towards the Governor, with attendees highlighting perceived inconsistencies in their actions. "It is not surprising that the same Governor who used the excuse of the pandemic to lock down our economy, close churches, schools, and businesses," remarked one of the supporters. Another individual pointed out that, "The same Governor who pushed for mask and vaccine mandates would also be the architect of an unconstitutional gun registry and weapons ban law."

Overall, the event highlighted a broader concern among participants regarding the protection of Constitutional rights. "The lack of regard for our Constitutional rights seems to be the calling card of this power-hungry administration," concluded one attendee.

The gathering at the Capitol underscored the unwavering commitment of supporters to defend their Second Amendment rights and resist perceived infringements on their freedoms.
