o Security cameras are operational. Already being used for it’s intended purpose.
o Fire alarm project is underway
o Jury trial was going to be held at the library due to construction at the court house—now being postponed until March, great!
o Did spur us getting access to the county internet! Will be a big cost saving
o Book sale this weekend- last one of the fiscal year
o Library bond is officially paid off- paid for by the community. 20 year bond the community voted to spend.
o Chris will forward an email from ILA senate bill 2787 heading to committee for review and are asking for witness slips. Increasing bid limit up to $35k which is in line with other governmental units

F. Acceptance of Financial Reports- provided at the meeting
o Check for internet components doesn’t show up in the pile because it’s billed to him but for us
o Looking at balance sheet we moved money into Illinois Funds. Loan at 52k. Total fund balance over 400k still doing really well financially.

6. Action Item: 2024-2: Vote to renew the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Charleston
Carnegie Public Library and the City of Charleston.

7. Action Item: 2024-3: Vote to modify the Library Cards & Borrowing Privileges Library Policies.
