Rep. Niemerg was present at the dedication of a new ultrasound machine at the Newton Family Life Center. According to an unknown source, the event took place straight from a Springfield session, emphasizing the importance of the care provided to expectant mothers in Newton. The Knights of Columbus of Newton and the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus were thanked for their involvement in the blessing and dedication ceremony.
