Rep. Adam Niemerg is urging drivers to prioritize school bus safety and protect children during National School Bus Safety Week, which takes place from October 16-20. With millions of children relying on school buses for transportation every day, it is crucial to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal school bus passing.

According to Rep. Niemerg, "The school bus is one of the safest modes of transportation, but illegal school bus passing poses a significant threat to children and their caretakers." Drivers should be vigilant and prepared to stop when they see yellow flashing lights on a school bus. Furthermore, it is essential to come to a complete stop when the red stop arm is extended.

The importance of school bus safety cannot be overstated. It is a shared responsibility among both drivers and the community to ensure the well-being of our children. Rep. Niemerg urges everyone to spread this important reminder to family and friends, emphasizing the need for collective action.
