The press is ignoring a revelation that Kazakhstani officials wired the Biden family $142,300 for a sports car following a dinner with then-Vice President Joe Biden in 2014, Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) said on Facebook.

“The ‘press’ and DOJ are silent on this horrific corruption,” she said. ”House GOP must begin an impeachment inquiry!”

A memorandum released by House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer said Hunter Biden and his associates received millions from foreign sources, including oligarchs, and outlines instances in which Hunter Biden received payments while Joe Biden dined with foreign associates in Washington, D.C., suggesting a connection between Joe Biden's position and his family's financial dealings, a committee press release said.

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine," Comer said in the press release. "It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered. This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son,” the press release said.

“Dad will be there but keep that between us for now. Thanks,” Hunter Biden wrote in an email about a dinner at Cafe Milano, the New York Post reported in a May 2021 news story

Hunter Biden was being paid $83,333 per month at the time to sit on Burisma’s board, the Post said. The Post said emails from Hunter Biden's laptop show that Joe Biden had a dinner meeting with Ukrainian, Russian, and Kazakhstani business associates of his son in the private "Garden Room" at the restaurant. Hunter received an email from Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, thanking him for introducing him to his father after the dinner, the Post reported.

“It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States. The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money trail and obtain witness testimony to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised or corrupt, and our national security is threatened,” Comer said in the press release.

Devon Archer, Hunter Biden's former business partner, said in testimony to the committee that the Biden "brand" served as protection for Ukrainian oil company Burisma and played a role in the company's "longevity," Comer said in the release. Archer confirmed that Joe Biden's involvement as then-Vice President allowed Burisma to navigate D.C. effectively and receive foreign funds, the release said. Archer detailed instances of Hunter receiving substantial foreign payments and benefits, including the $142,300 Porsche, Comer's press release said.
