Tuscola woman arrested, charged with terroristic threats; Bomb alarms

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Tuscola Police Department arrested Jill Harp who was later charged with two Class 1 Felony Counts of terrorism and two Class 3 Felony Counts of false bomb alarm (here).

Jill Harp was arrested shortly after the Douglas County Sheriff and Tuscola Police Department investigated bomb threats called in at approximately 12:39 p.m. on March 1, 2023, to the North Ward Elementary School in Tuscola, Illinois, and later threats called in to the East Prairie Middle School and the Tuscola High School.

At 2:56 p.m. that same day, Jill L. Harp was taken into custody and held pending charges.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department published a Press Release on March 1st briefly describing what happened.

Last November, Harp was charged with DUI in Douglas County.

In January 2023, Harp was charged in Nasville, TN., with Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest (here), all three charges are still Open on the docket in Nashville.
