City of Arcola City Council met Aug. 15.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Budd, Foran, Hensley, Smith and Garza. City Administrator Wagoner and Treasurer Anderson were also present. Alderman Becerra and Attorney Bequette were not present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Budd led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.
APPROVAL OF AUGUST 01, 2022 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Foran moved to approve the August 01, 2022 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF JULY 30, 2022 THROUGH AUGUST 12, 2022 BILLS Alderman Hensley moved to approve the July 30, 2022 – August 12, 2022 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Garza. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 22-R-11, A RESOLUTION COMMITTING ARPA FUNDS FOR WATER TOWER PAINTING PROJECT -- $273,900 Alderman Foran moved to approve Resolution No. 22-R-11 and was seconded by Alderman Garza. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 22-S-8, AN ORDINANCE DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF POLICE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT – 2014 CHEVROLET TAHOE Alderman Smith moved to approve Ordinance 22-S-8 and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE BID FOR ARCOLA AVENUE FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT – B & T DRAINAGE -- $340,959 Alderman Foran moved to approve bid in amount of $340,959 from B & T Drainage for Arcola Avenue Force Main Replacement. Alderman Hensley seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Hensley moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Garza. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
