Rep. Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) recently expressed gratitude for being chosen as the recipient of the Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA)’s “Champion of Small and Mid-Size Manufacturers Award.”
The award recognizes Niemerg for voting in favor of policies that encourage manufacturing in Illinois, according to a news release on his website.
“It’s an honor to receive the ‘Champion of Small and Mid-Size Manufacturers Award’ for the 102nd General Assembly,” Niemerg wrote in a Sept. 1 Facebook post. “Having the best voting record in the General Assembly for small and mid-size manufacturing is a personal point of pride. We must strengthen our manufacturing capabilities in Illinois to grow our state!”
Niemerg stated in the release that he earned the award by achieving the highest score in the 102nd General Assembly.
“I encourage my colleagues in the General Assembly to take a closer look at the final bills and join me in voting for better policies to support and grow good jobs for our communities and state,” he said.
TMA, an independent trade organization, was founded in 1925, when more than half a dozen small to mid-size manufacturers came together to address the need for cooperation and to better themselves.
