DISCUSSION:

Michael Jordan:

Back in April I was informed that if I bought the culvert, you guys would put it in. It’s been sitting in my front drive way since the 11th of April. Mayor Owen- Where do you live? Jordan- North New York St. Crispin- Did I tell you that? Jordan No you did not, one of your employees did, I bought 60 foot, that’s what your guys measured and so that is what I bought. I’m just trying to a timeline, I’ve got drainage pipe to put in also, but I can’t do anything until we put that culvert in. Crispin- This is the 1st I’ve heard of it; we will look at it. Jordan- I have to get the water away from the house.

Ambulance:

Thank you for the sidewalks, we appreciate it.

Summer Help:

Crispin- I’m not hiring anyone. Chaney- Is Chloe still with us? Crispin- She’s done, and Michael has started. Mayor Owen We have a young lady painting; she is doing a great job. Crispin- While she’s painting, Cody has been doing the curbs and everything cleaned up for her. There has been quite a bit done. Chaney- Do we need to talk to the school about a Co-op for next year? Crispin-I don’t know who to contact. Chaney- Nichole Cox.

Fire Department Request List:

Mayor Owen- They want access to the main power, close the streets, it’s the same as last year. Crispin- Do we donate power for that weekend? Mayor Owen- Ever since I’ve been here. Crispin- I wasn’t sure. Mayor Owen- Is everyone good with that? Collective yes. Mayor Owen-The have our Blessing.

Beniach Bid:

Crispin- I got a bid for tar and chip, it was the only one. There were 2 bids included, the 1st one was for crushed rock for $89,594.90 the other bid was for rounded rock for $81,332.90. He said the rounded rock was fine, it is up to code. I drove around and it does seem like that is what we have used. I’ll make a motion for the rounded rock bid if everyone is on board, it will save us around $9,000. This is our, rebuild Illinois money that they gave us last year.

Tree Quote:

Crispin- The 1st on is from Affordable Axe Men out of Paris, to grind the stump and take the tree down for $1,500. The other one is from Moore Tree Service out of Georgetown, the stump and tree for $1,100.

NPDES Permit:

Mayor Owen-We need this to stay in compliance, it’s a five-year permit, that Fehr Graham got us. So, it’s a 5-year renewal. Perryman- It’s not due until the end of August.

Commissioner Crispin

We need to look at the drain under the side walk across from the food bank so we are not washing away the side walk.

Commissioner Stratton

Nothing

Commissioner Chaney

Nothing

Mayor Owen:

Channel 3 did a vote on Our Town for their last segment of the year, and Chrisman and Rantoul were up there, I think we finally beat them by 800 votes or so. Our town Chrisman will be featured on WCIA, they are coming Monday night here, and then the Sesquicentennial Club is going to take them up to the square to get it all organized. We are going to us it to promote our 150 birthdays.

ADJOURNMENT:

Chaney Moved And Crispin Seconded For Adjournment At 7:15 P.M. Voting Aye On The Matter Were All Members Present. Voting Nay None. Motion Carried.
