Illinois resident and reigning Mrs. Illinois Nicole Zwiercan was crowned Mrs. America 2022 on Aug. 20 at the West Gate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada.
“Congratulations [Zwiercan], press secretary for the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus on a big, big win,” Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Louisville) wrote on Facebook.
Her website noted she stepped onto her first pageant stage in 2016 where she won the title Mrs. Illinois International.
Pageant Circle wrote Zwiercan has a degree in studio fine arts and arts history, as well as a degree in science and dental hygiene. She was Mrs. USA Universe in 2018 as well.
Zwiercan is a Homer Glen Village Trustee, and her competition days are not over. She will compete for Mrs. World in December.
Bailey is a third-generation farmer who, along with his sons, owns and operates Bailey Family Farm.
