Report: Teutopolis School District spent $8,402 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Teutopolis Community Unit School District 50 was up 7.3 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Effingham County school district spent $7,832 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,402 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,061 to 1,048 students over the same period.

Teutopolis's spending in 2019-20 was 42 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
