Report: Tuscola School District spent $11,284 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Tuscola Community Unit School District 301 was up 22.7 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Douglas County school district spent $9,197 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,284 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 981 to 987 students over the same period.

Tuscola's spending in 2019-20 was 22.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
