Report: Oblong School District spent $10,220 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Oblong Community Unit School District 4 was up 9.3 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Crawford County school district spent $9,349 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,220 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 568 to 594 students over the same period.

Oblong's spending in 2019-20 was 29.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
