Baseball Field – The committee discussed two different approaches to the baseball field situation. They first reviewed cost estimates for the installation of a new baseball field. This would include the purchase of land and development from scratch. The committee then discussed the possibility of working with the City of Arcola on developing a long-term upgrade plan for the facility with a focus on safety and improvement of the field condition.

The committee discussed a couple different approaches to looking at upgrades for the field. The committee discussed the need for a plan for improvements.

The committee decided that they would like to have a meeting with the Parks and Recreation Committee from the City just so there is open communication about the goals for the improvements and commitment from both ends.

The building committee meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm.
