Arcola City Council met Feb. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present in council chambers were Alderpersons Budd, Foran, Huckstep, Smith, Hensley and Chief Freezel and. Present virtually were City Administrator Wagoner and Attorney Bequette. Alderperson Ferguson andTreasurer Anderson were not present.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Budd led the council in the Pledge ofAllegiance.

PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.

APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 01, 2021 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Foran moved to approve the February 01, 2021 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderwoman Huckstep. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF JANUARY 30, 2021 – FEBRUARY 12, 2021 BILLS Alderwoman Huckstep moved to approve the January 30, 2021 – February 12, 2021 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Alderman Budd Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Foran Had nothing at this time.

Alderwoman Huckstep Reported the Budget & Finance Committee met prior to this meeting and discussed the refinancing of 2012 General Obligation Bonds.Alderman Smith Congratulated the Police Department for being in full compliance with LEADS/NCIC audit.

Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.

Mayor Ferguson commended the public works department for the great job movings now. Have worked really hard last couple of days. Alderman Foran added that it would help if people were more proactive moving vehicles off of streets.

As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderwoman Huckstep moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
