Arcola City Council met Aug. 3.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Budd, Foran, Huckstep, Smith and Hensley. Alderwoman Ferguson was present virtually. City Administrator Wagoner and Treasurer Anderson were also present. Attorney Bequette was not present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Budd led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.
APPROVAL OF JULY 20, 2020 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Foran moved to approve the July 20, 2020 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF JULY 23, 2020 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Foran moved to approve the July 23, 2020 special council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE JULY 18, 2020 THROUGH JULY 31, 2020 BILLS Alderman Smith moved to approve the July 18, 2020 through July 31, 2020 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderwoman Huckstep. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT FOR JULY 2020 Alderwoman Huckstep moved to approve the Treasurer’s report for July 2020 and was seconded by Alderman Budd. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE JULY ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT The Zoning Officer reported 5 permits issued in the month of July with valuation of $4,470,260 and $17,842 in fees collected. Alderman Foran moved to approve the July Zoning Officer’s report as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, Ferguson, aye; Budd, aye; Foran, aye; Huckstep, aye; Smith, aye; Hensley, abstain. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
There were no committee reports.
As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderwoman Huckstep moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
