Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clay County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Clay County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and two women were released in Clay County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 50-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Brittani M. Workman. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when she was 26 years old. She is now 28.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Clay County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
